California City Man Arrested for Allegedly Possessing Firearms Despite Court Ban

A man was arrested Tuesday in California City after allegedly violating a court order by possessing multiple firearms and a controlled substance, according to the California City Police Department.

Police say officers were dispatched to the 9700 block of Sally Avenue on May 20 following a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they discovered the man at the scene was legally prohibited from owning firearms due to a prior court order.

Further investigation revealed the suspect had several firearms in his possession, in direct violation of that order. Officers also reported finding an undisclosed controlled substance during the encounter.

The man was taken into custody and now faces multiple felony charges related to firearms possession and drug offenses. Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s name or further details regarding the case.

The investigation is ongoing.
