The U.S. Coast Guard intercepted a cuddy cabin-style vessel carrying 10 people early Friday morning.
The vessel was spotted crossing the maritime boundary line at high speed around 2:35 a.m., the Coast Guard reported.
A small boat from the Coast Guard’s Maritime Safety and Security Team Seattle intercepted the vessel and found 10 people aboard, officials said.
Of those onboard, eight claimed to be from Mexico, one from Brazil, and one from El Salvador, according to the Coast Guard.
A boarding team from the Coast Guard Cutter Halibut assisted in removing the individuals from the vessel, and all were handed over to U.S. Border Patrol custody.
