Authorities have launched an investigation after a man was found dead inside a U-Haul truck in Lancaster.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Shadow Park Inn Motel on Sierra Highway at about 1:49 a.m. Sunday to check on a missing person.
While investigating, they spotted a U-Haul truck leaving the area and followed it to a residence on Beech Avenue. There, deputies discovered the man’s body inside a trash can.
Although many questions remain unanswered, officials confirmed that several individuals were detained at the scene.
