Approximately 40 Nepali nationals who were deported from the United States are expected to arrive in Kathmandu today.
Anjan Neupane, the spokesperson for the immigration office at Tribhuvan International Airport, confirmed that a chartered flight carrying these deportees is anticipated to land at around 4:15 PM.
Since the commencement of President Donald Trump’s second term, Nepali immigration authorities report that a total of 140 Nepalis have been deported from the United States. Notably, eight individuals were similarly deported via chartered flight in early March. During questioning by the Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau of Nepal Police, some deportees disclosed that they had entered the United States by illegally traversing the borders of twelve different nations.
