Voices: River City podcast, episode 23: The Rising Tide of Anti-homeless Rhetoric

In this relaunch of the storied VOICES: River City podcast, founding editor Dave Kempa discusses the beginning of a new project dedicated to identifying and pushing back against anti-homeless rhetoric and animus in the Sacramento region and beyond.

From Sacramento County Supervisor Sue Frost’s vile op-ed in the Sacramento Bee, to Capitol Park groundskeepers asking for pepper spray to use against folks living homeless, to the son of the head of an LA-region chamber of commerce facing charges that he and a friend set a homeless camp on fire–there’s a lot to examine.

Special guest this episode: A Midtown Sacramento brew bike.
