His upstart challenger Milo Fitch, meanwhile, saw a renewed wave of campaign dollars. Now, Jones’s department is hoping to earn back some social capital with the recent arrest of the alleged East Area Rapist/Golden State Killer. Will it be enough to fend off Fitch?
